For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Rostock, Südstadt, Krankenhaus Zentralbild Link 10.6.1969-Rostock - Tor zur Welt - Rostock-Süd-Stadt - Das neue Krankenhaus. Wie überall in der DDR werden auch im Bezirk Rostock erhebliche Anstrengungen unternommen, die sozialen und kulturellen Einrichtungen zu erweitern. Im neuen Stadtteil Rostock-Süd-Stadt wurde 1965 das neue, moderne Krankenhaus der Stadt übergeben (unser Bild). Hier stehen 557 Betten den Kranken zur Verfügung. 44 Betten zusätzlich sind für die Neugeborenen bestimmt. 100 Ärzte und 354 Mitarbeiter des mittleren medizinischen Personals sorgen für die Betreuung der Kranken.
