For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Gröbzig, Pumpstation der Beregnungsanlage Zentralbild Schaar 2.7.69-ch Bezirk Halle: Moderne Technik in der Landwirtschaft-Die Pumpstation für die Feldberegnungsanlage der LPG "8.Mai" in Gröbzig hat sich bewährt. 5 Pumpen mit einer stündlichen Gesamtleistung von 740 Kubikmetern fördern aus dem ausgekohlten Tagebau Edderitz das wertvolle Nass auf die Felder dieser LPG. Durch ein Verästlungsnetz wird das Wasser über Hydranten in oberirdisch verlegte Schaltleitungen gedrückt und gelangt in die selbstrollenden Regnerflügel. Der Pumpen- und Beregnungswärter Armin Demmler überwacht die ordnungsgemäße Funktion der Pumpenstation.
