For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Rostock, Überseehafen, Güterwaggons, Eisenbahner Zentralbild Sindermann 30.1.70 Rostock: Rostocker Hafenbahner beschleunigen Waggonumlauf. Hand in Hand arbeiten Rangierleiter Horst Hesse und Lokführer Ernst Schiga, Mitglieder der Brigade der sozialistischen Arbeit des Stückgutbereichs im Rostocker Überseehafen, um keine Stockungen bei den Umschlagarbeiten entstehen zu lassen. Die Beschleunigung des Wagenumlaufs ist ein wichtiger Punkt im Wettbewerbsprogramm der Rostocker Hafenbahner, damit die an den Piers des Überseehafens liegenden Schiffe ohne Zeitverzug entladen werden können. Bereits im vergangen Jahr schufen die Rostocker Hafenbahner die Grundlage für eine gute Planerfüllung 1970; das Planziel wurde mit 338.000 Tonnen Güter aller Art überboten.
