For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Gerode, Einbringung einer Drainage Zentralbild Liebers 31.3.70--oh Bezirk Gera: Genossenschaftsbauern bereiten Frühjahrsbestellung vor - Um eine zügige Bestellung der für den Kartoffelanbau vorgesehenen Flächen zu gewährleisten, konzentriert sich die Meliorationsbrigade der LPG " Neue Zeit " in Geroda, Kreis Pößneck, auf die Entwässerung dieser Felder. Eine Grabenfräse des agro-chemischen Zentrums in Neustadt-Orla leistet ihnen dabei wertvolle Hilfe. Die Genossenschafbauern wollen in diesem Jahr 120 Hektar meliorieren, nachdem im vergangenen Jahr bereits auf 240 ha Entwässerungsarbeiten durchgeführt worden sind.
