For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Frankfurt/Oder, Güterbahnhof, Nacht, Winter ADN-ZB Sturm 11.2.74 Frankfurt-O.: Grenzbahnhof Frankfurt-O-Schlagader sozialistischer Integration-Auch nachts sorgen die Eisenbahner auf einem der bedeutensten Transitknotenpunkte der DDR dafür, daß die Drehscheibe sozialistischer Wirtschaftsintegration kontinuierlich arbeitet. Etwa 2000 Wagons werden pro Tag bewegt, Züge für die UdSSR, die MVR, dieVR Polen un die DDR neu zusammengestellt. Das heißt, daß alle 90 Minuten Exportgüter unsere Partner im ROW über die Grenze rollen, während alle 50 Minuten wertvolle Importe für unser Volkswirtschaft über die Oder kommen.
