For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
ADN-ZB Sindermann 24:6:75 Rostock: "Leinen los!" Dieses Kommando wird nur noch in der Phantasie der vielen Besucher für das Traditionsschiff vom Typ Frieden gegeben. Der 10.000-Tonnen-Frachter hat für immer an der Unterwarnow festgemacht und wurde 1970 von der Rostocker Jugend in 7.600 Stunden zu einem schwimmenden Kultur- und Erholungszentrum verwandelt. Neben dem Erlebnis "Kapität auf großer Fahrt" zu sein, wird dem Besucher ein Stück Geschichte des DDR-Schiffbaus vermittelt.
