For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Halle, Industriearbeiter Maschine bedienend 5 Werktätige des Landes-Maschinenhofes wurden dank ihrer großen Leistungen als Aktivist zum 13. Oktober ausgezeichnet. UBz: Kollege Walther hat als Vorarbeiter und später als meister im Schleifraum durch 5 anerkannte Verbesserungsvorschläge an der Pleuellagerbohrmaschine, Flächenschleifmaschine und Ausschleudermaschine gezeigt, daß er sich tatkräftig für eine Produktionssteigerung eingesetzt hat. Durch diese Verbesserungsvorschläge konnten zum Teil Leistungssteigerungen bis zu 40 % erzielt werden. Zusammen mit dem Kollegen Simon hat er intensiv die Einführung des Leistungslohnes unterstützt, sodaß im Schleifraum 100 %ig im Leistungslohn gearbeitet werden kann. Aufn.
