For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Halle, Industriearbeiter Maschine bedienend Aktivisten des Landes-Maschinenhofes Halle. 5 Werktätige des Landes-Maschinenhofes wurden dank ihrer großen Leistungen als Aktivist zum 13. Oktober ausgezeichnet. UBz: Kollege Grabowski hat durch zwei Verbesserungsvorschläge wesentlichen Anteil an dem schnelleren Ablauf der Reparaturen an landwirtschaftlichen Maschinen. Durch einfach, aber sinnreiche Veränderungen an der Kurzhobelmaschine gelang es ihm, beim Hobeln von Lagerrohlingen zwei Arbeitsgänge einzusparen; er erreichte damit eine Leistungssteigerung von 26 %. Aus eigener Initiative entwickelte und baute er eine Maschine zum Schleifen von Häckselmaschinenmessern. Seine Einstellung zur Arbeit ist positiv und er unterstützt die Arbeitsvorbereitung tatkräftig. Aufn. Illus Paalzow 4239-49 24.10.1949
