For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Dessau, Blick auf das Stadtzentrum, Wohnblocks ADN-ZB Link 13.1.1981 Bez. Halle- Dessau, im nördlichen Teil des Bezirkes Halle gelegen, ist mit 101969 Einwohnern die zweitgrößte Stadt des Bezirkes. Nach dem 2. Weltkrieg war das Zentrum zu 85 Prozent zerstört. Bis 1951 konnten 15000 Wohnungen, das ist die Hälfte der zerstörten, wieder aufgebaut oder generalrepariert werden. Seit 1967 ist ein neues, großstädtisches Wohn- und Einkaufszentrum entstanden, von 1976-80 verbesserten sich die Wohnverhältnisse für 44800 Bürger. – siehe auch Z0113-005 bis Z0113-008 –
