Description Native, cool season, perennial herb with 1 or 2 basal leaves. Leaves are linear, to 60 cm long, 1.5–4 mm wide and hairless. Scapes are 10–65 cm tall, unbranched or occasionally with 1 branch; bracts 1 or 2, lower bract usually similar to leaves, upper bract 1–4 cm long. Flowerheads are 2–9-flowered umbels. Flowers have 6, 5–8 mm long, white or occasionally tinged pink tepals. Anthers are 1–4 mm long and purple. Flowering is in spring. Grows in moist areas such as swamps and heaths.
