Summary

[edit]
Description
English: In response to a news story about President Roosevelt making the lands of the Rosebud Indian Reservation available for purchase by "settlers" for three dollars an acre, E.A. Bushnell depicted a Sioux family being physically kicked into the air by the giant foot of Uncle Sam (identifiable by the striped pant-leg and starred boot). The title is "THE ONWARD MARCH OF CIVILIZATION", and the caption says "MOVE ON, LO, AND BE QUICK ABOUT IT!"
