Description A U.S. Navy Grumman C-1A Trader (BuNo 146043) takes off during rough weather conditions fom the aircraft carrier USS America (CV-66) in 1984. Note that the C-1 takes off without catapult assistance. This aircraft was retired to the MASDC as 7C0030 on 8 October 1986.
