Description
English: 191022-N-FV739-0117 Muara Naval Base, Brunei (22 Oct. 2019) U.S. Navy Rear Adm. Joey Tynch, commander Logistics Group Western Pacific, and Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF / TUDB) Brig. Gen. Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohd Sharif bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim, Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF / ABDB) joint force commander, address questions from local media along with Matthew Matthews, the U.S. Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam, during a media availability event in support of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Brunei. This year marks the 25th iteration of CARAT, a multinational exercise designed to enhance U.S. and partner navies' abilities to operate together in response to traditional and non-traditional maritime security challenges in the Indo-Pacific region.
