Description
English: Special Envoy and Presidential Assistant on Foreign Affairs Robert E. A. Borje met with some of the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) during his visit at the Philippine Embassy shelter in Abu Dhabi on February 12, 2022. Special Envoy and Presidential Assistant on Foreign Affairs Robert E. A. Borje met with some of the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) during his visit at the Philippine Embassy shelter in Abu Dhabi on February 12, 2022. The President’s Special Envoy brought a message of hope to the OFWs as he assures them that the government’s assistance to national program will continue to help distressed Filipinos in the Gulf country. PAFA Borje also expressed that President Rodrigo Roa Duterte appreciates the UAE government’s efforts of immunizing Filipinos under its jurisdiction as well as its vaccine donations to the Philippines. PAFA Borje arrived in UAE for a five-day official visit to convey President Duterte’s message to UAE government leaders, participate in the ongoing Expo 2020 Dubai, and assess the condition of Filipinos in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) country.
