Description
Italiano: Ogni 15 maggio, e da tempo immemorabile, si svolge il Rito della Corsa dei Ceri a Gubbio. I ceri sono tre alti e pesanti manufatti in legno con alla loro sommità la statua del loro santo protettore, Sant’Ubaldo, San Giorgio e Sant’Antonio. In queste foto vediamo la corsa finale che si svolge in salita e che porta alla Basilica di Sant’Ubaldo.
English: Every May 15th, and since time immemorial, the Rite of the Corsa dei Ceri takes place in Gubbio. The “Ceri” are three tall and heavy wooden artefacts with at their top the statue of their patron saint, Sant'Ubaldo, San Giorgio and Sant'Antonio. In these photos we see the final race which takes place uphill and leads to the Basilica of Sant'Ubaldo.
