Description Canadian Pacific Railway station, Winnipeg, Canada, built 1882–1883 (original architect unknown). On 1 March 1886 the building was gutted in a fire. In September 1886, William Charles Sorby designed a rebuild in a slightly different style, but based on the original floorplan, i.e. using the remains of the original walls. The building was later demolished, and replaced with the Royal Alexandra Hotel.
