| Description | Citybus Hong Kong Volvo Olympian 515 HB2477 is seen in Sheung Wan. Not a great shot but I've included it to show how bad things are now in the former British colony. Law and order have been replaced by a bunch of radicalised students blocking up main roads in a political protest over the conditional introduction by the Beijing government of universal suffrage in 2017; essentially the wrong protest at the wrong time in the wrong place. This bus is in a line of around 100 buses, mostly abandoned by passengers with captains stood helplessly beside their steeds, behind it are similarly immobile trams- nobody can get to work, school, college, shopping areas and the whole place suffers whilst wealthy students lounge around in a misguided attempt to achieve an impossible goal from a government based 1,182 miles away. |
