English: The Arabian Gulf (May 15, 2003) -- Electronics Warfare Technician Seaman Apprentice Jaqueline Jackson operates a Surface Electronics Emission Console (SLQ-32) during her watch aboard the USS Nimitz (CVN 68). The SLQ-32 systems generate very high and continuous electronic jamming capabilities enabling an almost unlimited variety of jamming techniques to be used by operators. The Nimitz Carrier Strike Group and Carrier Air Wing Eleven (CVW-11) are currently deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, the multi-national coalition effort to liberate the Iraqi people, eliminate Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction, and end the regime of Saddam Hussein.
