Dennes enke Bella Philipsens auktion 23. sept. 1912, kat. 15. Købt af generaldirektør Ole Olsen. Ca. 1921-25 erhvervet af Hjalmar Bruhn (gennem grosserer J. Th. Trappand Levinsen). Af denne sat på auktion (gennem kunsthandler Poul Buus) hos Winkel & Magnussen, auktion nr. 283, 17. nov. 1941, kat. 51; her købt af Edith Illum, Frederiksborg. Af denne solgt til museet den 1. dec. 1986.
