  • Dansk: Meudon Slot ligger i nærheden af forstaden St. Cloud, som dengang lå uden for Paris, og var et populært udflugtsmål for datidens parisere. Motivet er omhyggeligt beskrevet i et brev til J. F. Clemens den 30. oktober 1812 (Eckersberg i Paris, 1947, p. 104).
