Description Caça Skyhalk II da Marinha do Brasil. O Skyhalk é um avião subsônico com pequenas dimensões. O versátil caça pode operar tanto a partir de navios-aeródromos como a partir de bases avançadas com pistas de 1.300 metros. Os Skyhalk atuaram na Guerra das Malvinas e na Guerra do Golfo de 1991. Os 23 aviões remanescentes dos 36 originais caças A-4KU adquiridos do Kuwait (designado pela Marinha como AF-1) foram comprados em 1997, após a Guerra do Golfo. Após 50 anos, os Skyhawks continuam em uso em diversas forças aéreas do mundo. A Marinha do Brasil modernizou 12 aviões Skyhalk II e estes irão ficar em operação até 2025. Os caças A-4KU são da última geração do lote produzido pela empresa norte-americana McDonell Douglas entre 1976 e 1978. O Harrier e o A-4 Skyhawk, são os únicos aviões de combate embarcados subsônicos em uso no mundo hoje. Ao fundo os A-29 Super Tucanos da Esquadrilha da Fumaça.
