Français : Légende : "Devant le bureau". Le capitaine Sureau, comme P. Michaud, sera ensuite au 300e RIT. On peut donc conclure qu'il s'agit du 5e bataillon du 89e RIT.
Instituteur dans sa commune natale [Roches, Creuse], Paul MICHAUD est mobilisé le 13 août 1914 au 91e RIT. Il est nommé caporal-fourrier le 1er avril 1915, [passe au 89e RIT le 2 avril 1915] puis [est nommé] sergent-fourrier le 22 mai. Muté au 300e RIT le 1er septembre [1915], il est promu sergent-major le 16 novembre 1916. [Il passe au 121e RIT le 8 novembre 1917]. Il est cité à l'ordre du régiment le 20 septembre 1917, pour son courage et son dévouement à toute épreuve. Paul MICHAUD est démobilisé le 2 février 1919.
