Description
English: Capt. Camillo Ruggera (1885-1947) during the First World War (1915-1918).
Camillo Ruggera was born in 1885 in Predazzo (now Italy) and in spite of his Italian ethnicity he served in the Austro-Hungarian, then Austrian, then German Army.
He was one of the members of the Austro-Hungarian staff involved in the Armistice of Villa Giusti with Italy.
After the war he remained an Austrian citizen and served the Bundesheer, the Austrian federal Army; after the union of Austria with Nazi Germany he joined the Wehrmacht that he left with the grade of Lieutenant General. He died in 1947 in Bavaria, Germany.

Camillo Ruggera nacque nel 1885 a Predazzo, oggi in Italia, e nonostante la sua etnìa italiana servì nell'esercito austroungarico, poi in quello austriaco e infine in quello tedesco.
Fu tra i componenti della commissione austro-ungarica di preparazione degli accordi di Villa Giusti con l'Italia.
Dopo la guerra mantenne la cittadinanza austriaca ed entrò nell'esercito di quel Paese; dopo l'Anschluss con la Germania nazista entrò nella Wehrmacht e raggiunse il grado di tenente generale fino al congedo nel 1942. Morì in Baviera nel 1947 per un infarto.
