Campaign poster featuring candidates for the 2012 United States Senate race in the Montana. Incumbent Democrat Jon Tester vs. the challenger Republican Denny Rehberg. Image includes American eagle clutching arrows and olive branches perched on sheild balanced on American flag pole with rising sun in background. Space for faces framed by American Flags. Lady Liberty stands between space for faces holding flag and shield. A stage with pillars and decorative elements anchors the image. The original image was aligned, cropped, slightly posterized, text and faces removed, saturation enhanced, text added, candidate caricatures added, donkey and elephant added. Adapted from a poster by S.S. Frizzell originally published by J.H. Bufford's Sons of Boston in 1884. The title of the poster was "For president, Grover Cleveland of New York. For vice president, Thos. A. Hendricks, of Indiana." The source image for this illustration of a candidate poster is from the Library of Congress.
