Pianta di Gruninghen con la citadella ca. 1568. Catálogo Colectivo de la Red de Bibliotecas de los Archivos Estatales y del CIDA. Sección: Material cartográfico AGS. Originally in a map called 'Flandes.- 1568'. Part of ' Mapas, planos y dibujos (Años 1503-1805). Volumen I' : p. 561 (shortened to M.P. y D. or MPD) 07, 48 (or VII-48).

Author Bartholomeo Campi. Campi had eigenlijk een zeshoekige citadel gewild, maar dit werd vanwege de hoge kosten waarschijnlijk niet gehonoreerd. Dit ontwerp is te zien in een tekening van een fictieve belegering van de stad in de Atlas van Pierre Le Poivre. Het uiteindelijke ontwerp is een aanpassing van een oorspronkelijke tekening van kapitein Augustino gebaseerd op een eerder ontwerp van Chiappino Vitelli en Francesco Pacciotto.
