Summary[edit]
| Description |
Flattop is the most popular mountain to climb in Alaska, so in the summer months it would be a very busy and strange place to camp. But by early winter the visitors drop off and it's possible to find some solitude--at least overnight. This campsite is on the shoulder before the final climb up to the summit. It was moderately cold at night (about zero F) but extremely windy. The tent is a Hilleberg Nammatj 2 |
