English: The memorial plaque on the entrance of Cape Agulhas Lighthouse. The inscription writes:

Cape Agulhas Lighthouse
This lighthouse, sited on the most dangerous part
of the South African coast was completed in
1849 at an approximate cost of £12,000. It is
the second oldest lighthouse in South Africa.
