Description
Français : Daniel Mabe, debout, le bras appuyé sur une chaise et portant sa casquette de capitaine.
Daniel Mabe était le fils d'Edward Mabe et Mary Hogan et le petit-fils de Peter Mabe, loyaliste américain arrivé à Coin-du-Banc en 1804. Avec ses trois frères, Christopher, Henry et Alfred, Daniel Mabe met sur pied une entreprise florissante appelée la Mabe Brothers. Cette entreprise a œuvré dans des secteurs économiques aussi variés que la vente au détail, la transformation du bois, la construction navale, le transport des marchandises par goélette et enfin la mise en conserve du homard.
