Kowalczyk i porucznik pilot rezerwy Włodzimierz Klisz z PLL "Lot" mieli przelecieć przez Atlantyk. Widoczni kardynał August Hlond, działacz Polonii amerykańskiej Adamkiewicz, porucznik pilot rezerwy z PLL "Lot" Włodzimierz Klisz, kapitan pilot z 3 Pułku Lotniczego Adam S. Kowalczyk, konsul generalny Polski w Mediolanie Otton Hubicki.
