A framed oil painting, size 63 x 76 cm. Marks on the painting indicate that it was at one time in an oval frame. Seth is shown with fair hair, hazel eyes, a white cravat and a rust coloured cloak. A signet ring is on the little finger of the left hand. The painting was owned by Rev. Frank S Bennett (1866 - 1947), the Dean of Chester, who was a descendant of Mary Jermy, the daughter of Captain Seth Jermy. |
