English: Retrato del cardenal español Francisco Antonio Javier de Gardoqui y Arriquíbar (1747-1820), que antes de llegar al cardenalato fue vicario general de Palencia, fiscal de la Inquisicion en Granada y en Valladolid y arcediano de Sagunto y Alarcón. Además, su pericia en asuntos fiscales y sus dotes oratorias le valieron el nombramiento en 1789, de auditor del tribunal de la Sagrada Rota por el reino de Castilla.
