Description Busto di Carlo Barabino contenuto nel vano scala del Palazzo dell'Accademia a Genova, opera di Giambattista Cevasco. L'attribuzione é desunta da Federico Alizeri, Guida artistica per la città di Genova. Prima giornata, Genova, 1846. Viene infatti detto: "Mancava nell'Accademia Ligustica un monumento a quel grande che ne innalzava il palagio; e parecchi architetti, primo tra i quali Ignazio Gardella, lamentarono il difetto, e testè procacciarono il rimedio, commettendone l'effigie in marmo a Giambattista Cevasco, il quale mostrossi degno dell'onorevole scelta. Da pochi mesi fu locato il busto sovra elegante colonna di fronte al Traverso con queste brevi ma succose parole: A Carlo Barabino gli architetti genovesi."
