Description
Français : Carmel (transféré en 1919 d'Ypres, en Belgique à Fontenay par les "carmélites déchaussées" du couvent pour leur permettre de fuir la première guerre mondiale). Ce monument est situé près de la Tour Rivalland, rue Nicolas-Rapin, à Fontenay-le-Comte (ici en aout 2016). L'histoire de ce carmel est racontée par les "Annales du carmel de Vlaterminge" selon des témoignages de religieuses qui y ont vécu.
English: Carmel (transferred in 1919 from Ypres, Belgium to Fontenay in France by "carmélites déchaussées" (Discalced Carmelites') for them to flee the First World War). This monument is located near the Rivalland Tour, Nicolas Rapin-Street in Fontenay-le-Comte (here in August 2016). The history of this Carmel can be read in the "Annals of carmel Vlaterminge" made from the testimony of religious who lived there.
