María del Carmen Zaldívar Melero, conocida artísticamente como Carmela, es la primera mujer torera de Aragón (España). Durante su carrera como novillera con picadores llegó a torear más de un centenar de festejos por toda España y Francia, recibiendo numerosos reconocimientos y trofeos a lo largo de su carrera. Su carrera se vio truncada como consecuencia de las lesiones padecidas que le obligaron a retirarse en por indicación médica. Tras su retirada forzosa como novillera, siguió manteniendo su relación con el mundo taurino a través de su participación como asesora de la provincia de Zaragoza, siendo la primera mujer asesora taurina de la presidencia de la Plaza de toros de Zaragoza también conocida como La plaza de toros de la Misericordia o el «coso Ramón Pignatelli», el segundo coso taurino de primera categoría más antiguo de España. https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anexo:Toreras https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plaza_de_toros_de_Zaragoza |
