Italiano: Il nucleo più antico, una torre quadrilatera centrale, fu realizzata nel decennio fra gli anni '50 e '60 del XV secolo (forse nel 1452) da Giovanni Çabastida, governatore della Camera reginale di Siracusa. In seguito fu ulteriormente difesa con una cinta muraria, quattro torri angolari cilindriche e venne addossata alla parete sud-est una torre poligonale, raggiungendo l'aspetto attuale nel 1574 circa.
