DescriptionCathedral Church of St. Machar, Old Aberdeen.jpg |
The current church on the site, situated at the south end of Seton Park, was first built between 1350 and 1520. Various additions over the years have been made. Including a central tower constructed by Bishop Elphinstone, the founder of the University of Aberdeen. Sadly, the central tower collapsed in 1688. This cathedral is a such a welcoming place to visit - if you're in Aberdeen, you should drop in. |
