| Description |
c/n 2531. This French type first flew in late 1913 and saw service throughout the war and in many countries. Designed for reconnaissance, it was mainly used as a trainer. The Belgian Air Service pilot school had at least fifteen, a mix of single and two-seaters, in 1918 and 1919. As none of these survive, this French example was acquired from the ‘Musée de l’Air’ in Paris, in an exchange deal involving a complete LVG C.VI. Still bearing the legend of its previous home on the rudder, it is on display at what is known as the Brussels Air Museum, although it is actually the Air and Space Section of the Royal Museum of the Armed Forces and Military History.
