This is a picture of Cenote Car Wash, a sinkhole located in the Yucatan peninsula of Mexico.

Summary[edit]

Description
English: Cenote Car Wash (Aktun Ha) is located in the state of Quintana Roo, in the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico. It is a sinkhole (i.e., cenote). This picture represents the surface of the cenote as taken from the shoreline. This cenote was nicknamed "Car Wash" as, in the past, it was used by taxi drivers. The taxi drivers would pull in off the highway and back up into the sinkhole for a car wash.
