| Description |
Italiano: Piazza San Firenze. A destra si vede ancora la piccola chiesa di S. Apollinare ricostrutta nel sec. XVI, soppressa nel 1755, trasformata in abitazione con botteghe nel 1780. Il palazzo (cominciato nel 1255) — prima Palazzo del Podestà; poi, dal 1574, carcere e sede del Bargello e dal 1865 R. Museo Nazionale — fu largamente restaurato da Francesco Mazzei tra il 1857 e il 1865, e dei restauri si ha fede anche pel confronto della veduta che pubblichiamo, dove vediamo, tra l’altro, tettoie agli ingressi e finestre, nel fianco, dove oggi è una porta ecc. Dal lato opposto, all’ingresso della Badia, si vede la gradinata a due rampe (vedi tav. LXXXVIII) e tra la chiesa e via della Condotta una serie di botteghe a poggiuolo, protette da una lunga tettoia, oggi completamente rimodernate come l’edificio d’angolo a sinistra. in Cento vedute di Firenze antica, Firenze, presso Anton Giuseppe Pagani, 1789 |
