English: No alto das chapadas, os círculos verdes escuros são pivôs centrais de irrigação em Riachão das Neves e Barreiras. Formosa do Rio Preto está no alto à esq. da imagem. Lotes em tons claros e de marrom são áreas que já foram colhidas. Tons de verde claro indicam locais onde a próxima safra já começa a crescer. A maioria da áreas, em torno de 90%, é de plantio de soja, o resto sendo algodão e milho. As áreas acizentadas e escuras, nos vales abaixo das chapadas são parques cerrados, e fazem parte do Tocantins, Municípios de Novo Jardim e Dianópolis.
A região Oeste da Bahia bateu seu recorde de produção de soja na safra 2018, com colheita de 6 milhões de toneladas de grãos. Feita entre os meses de março e abril deste ano, a colheita teve produtividade média de 62 sacas por hectare, recorde de nacional, e que deve figurar entre as maiores do mundo, segundo a Associação de Agricultores e Irrigantes da Bahia AIBA (g1.globo.com/ba/bahia/noticia/oeste-da-ba-tem-recorde-de-...). Dark green circles on the plateaus are center pivot irrigation systems. Clear and brownish plots have already been harvested. Clear green indicates places where next crop is already starting to grow. 90% of fields are dedicated to soybeans, 5% cotton and 5% corn. Grey and dark area on valleys bellow plateaus are park savannas. This region just beat the national soybean production record in 2018, with 62 sacks of soy per hectare.
