Brustbild des bärtigen Papstes Paul III. im Pluviale mit großer Schließe nach links. Die griechische Signatur Cesatis unterhalb der letzten fünf Buchstaben der Umschrift in zwei Zeilen.

Rückseite: OMNES REGES SERVIENT EI [Trennungszeichen Dreibein]. Alexander der Große kniet nach links gewendet, neben sich seinen Schild, vor dem von drei Personen begleiteten Hohepriester links. Im Hintergrund ein Rundtempel. Rechts eine Begleitfigur als Pferdehalter.

Kommentar: Guss nach Prägemedaille, zweiseitig, Vorderseite oben gelocht. - Die Rückseite ist nach dem Entwurf Salviatis gestaltet, vgl. Attwood (2003) 381 Anm. 32 mit Lit. Das Bild spielt auf den angeblichen Besuch Alexanders des Grossen in Jerusalem an. - Papst Paul III. (1468-1549, Papst von 1534 bis 1549) stammte aus dem Adelsgeschlecht der Farnese und wurde geboren als Alessandro Farnese.
