Summary
English: The grand staircase with straight flights is a copy of the grand staircase of the Palais-Royal based on constructions by Italian architects for Marie de Médicis by Jacques Gentillâtre. Open on its stair flight, this monumental staircase is remarkable for its arches in "inverted asymmetrical catenaries" which allow the charge to be transferred as close as possible to the four pillars.
