| Description |
Français : À la fin du XIXe siècle, la famille Montgomery acheta le domaine du Claireau pour y faire construire un château. Le comte Montgomery de Pembroke mourut en 1900, sa veuve fit ériger pour lui une grande sépulture : un petit temple inspiré de l'architecture antique, avec ses colonnes ioniques et son fronton triangulaire sculpté. Ce mausolée atypique dans la forêt du Claireau, bien que très endommagé, reste le seul vestige du château démoli dans les années 1970. |
