English: Welcome to Cape Cod! - June 13th 2009
I am finally at Woods Hole! Yesterday, Friday, was a long day of travel and after a few plane delays and then waiting for the bus at Logan for a while, I arrived in Woods Hole in the dark. It is very disorienting when the sun comes up, and you have no idea where you have been... I got checked in, got my keys and got a ride up to the condo/apartments where I am staying. I am living with 5 other girls (!) in a 3 bedroom apartment. That seems like a lot of people, but everyone tends to have their own schedules and the fridge seems to be the main problem place, as we are also doing all of our own cooking. In an effort to adventure out to Falmouth (the slightly larger town just north of us) Ellie and I found food, had major issues with street addresses and resorted to calling verizon to find an att store. The conversation went something like this "Hi, where is an ATT store - For my friend - I have verizon"--- uhh.. Regardless, we found it and I got my new phone. We ended the day going to the beach - it wasn't hot, but it was nice! The Falmouth Beach looks out at Marthas Vinyard, which is large enough that it reminds me of looking out onto Puget Sound seeing the islands and the peninsula. So - Still getting settled, hopefully these entries will be more exciting soon! |
