Description
English: The " Archangel " work of Aguiar Aureliano sculptor won the Utopia Fantastic Art Prize in Sculpture Category , sponsored by the Portuguese Center for Fantastic Art .This sculpture was acquired by the municipality of Odemira and placed next to the Lighthouse Beach , in Vila Nova de Milfontes. The " Archangel " in reused iron, 3.5 m high and made between 2007 and 2008 , contains an ecological message alert . The artist describes the work as " A cry , a warning that the planet falls apart , melt ... The pain or anger and the desire to save (or fling ?) The planet that was degraded by the hand of humans. An ecological appeal.
Português: A obra “Arcanjo”, do escultor Aureliano de Aguiar venceu o Prémio Utopia de Arte Fantástica, na Categoria Escultura, promovido pelo Núcleo Português de Arte Fantástica. Esta escultura foi adquirida pelo Município de Odemira e colocada junto à Praia do Farol, em Vila Nova de Milfontes. O “Arcanjo”, em ferro reutilizado, com 3,5 m de altura e realizada entre 2007 e 2008, encerra uma mensagem ecológica de alerta. O artista plástico descreve a obra como “Um grito, um alerta ao planeta que se desfaz, derrete... A dor ou a raiva e o desejo de salvar (ou arremessar?) o planeta que se degradou pela mão de humanos. Um apelo ecológico.”
