Description
Français : Ceci est une chapelle de belle taille. Ste-Macrine, c'est son nom, se situe sur la commune de Magné, à une dizaine de km du chef-lieu départemental.

Officiellement au sommet d'une butte (27 m d'altitude !), on peut certes difficilement la louper...

Macrine est la patronne du marais poitevin, donc protectrice des différents acteurs gravitant dans ce milieu: bateliers, laboureurs... on célèbre son culte depuis au moins le Xe s. de notre ère. Quant à l'édifice actuel, légué début XIXe à la commune, il est totalement repris vers 1890 dans un style néo-gothique très en vogue à l'époque.

Chaque année se déroule un pélerinage en début d'été, la vieille Sèvre revit ses grandes heures le temps d'une journée.

Les pélerins, venus en barque des alentours, Vendée et Charente-Maritime incluses, sillonnent les canaux au cours de la procession.
