| Description |
Español: La Chaquira es quizás el sitio más impresionante de San Agustín. Mirando hacia el profundo cañón del rió Magdalena y talladas en su sitio sobre las altas peñas, se encuentran varias figuras, entre ellas una de características antropomorfas conocida como "La diosa de la Chaquira". Enfrentada al abismos, su expresión se integra al imponente paisaje de manera admirable, evidencia de la maestría de los escultores. La figura principal, con las manos en alto, en posición de adoración, mira hacia el imponente cañón del Rio Magdalena y al sol naciente Alrededor; aparecen también, figuras de simios en movimiento y rostros antropomorfos, casi todos mirando hacia el oriente, como si vigilaran los movimientos del sol.
