Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Built in 1929-1936, this Carpenter Gothic Revival-style building was designed by John E. Wicks for the congregation of Trinity Lutheran Church, which merged with Zion Lutheran Church in 1974 to create the Peace Lutheran Church congregation. The building is clad in wooden shingles with large gothic stained glass windows featuring decorative tracery, casement windows and three-over-three double-hung windows, a gabled roof, and a gabled tower at the southwest corner of the building. The building is a contributing structure in the Shively–McClure Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005. Today, the building houses the Charlene Larsen Center for the Performing Arts.
