Summary[edit]

Description

A portrait of Coventry's famous medieval poll tax protestor, whose name and likeness a Belgian chocolate company recently attempted to trademark. You can imagine how well that went down in Coventry.

This is apparently a plaster model, and I don't think there was ever a marble version. It was put on display at the Crystal Palace after it was rebuilt at Sydenham, south London, and may have been destroyed along with the Palace when it burned down in 1936.
