Description
English: Chilaiditi syndrome is a generally benign condition in which a segment of the intestine is interposed between the liver and diaphragm, which can be confused for more severe conditions and lead to unwarranted procedures. Chilaiditi sign is a radiological finding that occurs when a segment of a large bowel loop or small intestine is interposed between the liver and a diaphragm. When this causes gastrointestinal symptoms, it is known as Chilaiditi syndrome.
